The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) organized a seminar at the Baluchistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) in Quetta. Distinguished guests who were among the notable speakers at the seminar included Engr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, the honorable Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council; Engr. Prof. Dr. Ehsanullah Kakar, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of the University of Loralai; Engr. Nasir Majeed, Vice Chairman – Balochistan PEC; Prof. Dr. Waseem Khaliq, the Principal/Dean of NUST Balochistan Campus (NBC); and Mr. Masood, Advisor to Chairman PEC.

The event brought together renowned educators, experts, and stakeholders from the engineering and education sectors, fostering an environment of dialogue and collaboration.
The seminar addressed the challenges and opportunities in financing the FYDP, which plays a crucial role in upgrading the infrastructure and curriculum of engineering institutions across the country. Another significant topic was the integration of capstone experiences into the curriculum. These hands-on projects allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems, bridging the gap between academia and industry. The incorporation of day trip learning was highlighted as a strategy to enhance practical exposure. The event concluded with a consensus on the importance of continuous collaboration between educational institutions, regulatory bodies, and industries to ensure the holistic development of engineers who can meet the evolving demands of the nation.
